Conmee Newsletter
Due to numerous requests from residents, Council has decided to continue the monthly newsletter. The newsletter will be delivered to your mailbox as usual, and will be mailed to non-resident property owners. Council appreciates the comments received from the ratepayers.
Christmas Party!
The Council for the Township of Conmee will be hosting a Family Christmas Party on December 15, 2007 from 2 PM to 5 PM. There will be crafts, games and stories for the kids, and of course Santa! Coffee, tea and juice will be available. A food donation to the Rural Christmas Cheer would be appreciated. Hope to see you there!
Pop Machine and Deep Fryer
Council has decided that the pop dispenser in the hall and the deep fryer will no longer be available for renters. The Township was losing money on the pop canisters as they were being opened for a function, but would go stale before the next function. Renters will be responsible for supplying their own pop.
The deep fryer has been disconnected. If a renter wishes to use the fryer, they will be responsible for applying for an inspection and paying the inspection fee. This will save the Township money as the deep fryer must be inspected on a regular basis. The fryer has not been used in several years.
Audited Financial Report
Copies of the 2006 Audited Financial Statement are available free of charge at the Municipal Office. If you wish a copy, please call the office ahead of time so that we can make sure one is available for you.
The Municipal Office will be closed on November 12 for Remembrance Day.
Skating Rink
Conmee Township has a skating rink located at the Community Centre, 19 Holland Road West. Conmee Emergency Services has once again offered to establish the ice on the rink, however, we still need people to help keep the ice usable and to shovel the snow off the rink. If you can help, please contact the Municipal Office at 475-5229.
The Conmee Township Municipal Office will be closed from December 22nd, 2007 to January 2, 2008.
