Public Meeting Regarding Hall Rental Rate Changes and Building Permit Fee Changes

Council will be holding a public meeting on May 26, 2008 beginning at 6:30 pm to hear comments on the proposed amendments to the Fees and Charges By-law. Changes have been made to the Building Permit Application Fees. Council is also proposing a Policy Change to charge increased fees for hall rentals on Statutory Holidays. Council must pay the Facilities Manager time and a half for working on Statutory Holidays. The hall rental rate will be changed to reflect that cost.

Residents may attend the meeting or send a written comment to the office, by mail or email. All comments will be read at the public meeting. Further information may be obtained from the Clerk.

Ontario Municipal Board Decision

The OMB has made a ruling on the Zoning Amendment Application from Brian Vanlenthe to allow a motocross racetrack to operate on a restricted basis. The By-law will not be in force until all conditions have been met. For more information, please contact the Clerk.

Budget Meeting

Council will be holding another budget meeting immediately following the Public Meeting on May 26th, 2008.
