Overall the bridges are in good repair and need only minor attention at this time. One of the suggested improvements was to remove a wire fence that crosses the stream above a bridge. Council directed the Clerk to contact the farm owner to request the removal in case the farmer has animals in the adjacent fields.
The Clerk also advised that the Geography Department of Lakehead University is once again asking permission to access the Conmee pit off of Highway 11/17 for a field trip. Council approved this access.
The Clerk read a letter from a resident on Enders Road who was disputing an invoice sent to her in 2006 for steaming of a frozen pipe. The resident felt that the time had been overstated as most of the time was spent trying to get the machine started. Council advised the Clerk to send a revised invoice in the amount of $50.00 and advise the resident that the Roads Department will not do this type of work in the future.
