Emergency Services

Fire Chief Robb Day leads a committed team of volunteers ,bringing timely and trained emergency response services to our residents.

Conmee Emergency Services, comprised of trained volunteers, deliver the first necessary, basic assistance to anyone who calls 911. 

In case of any medical calls, Emergency First Responders will offer important medical care before the ambulance arrives, and provide assistance to the paramedics to ensure the patient is quickly transported to the hospital.

In case of a fire, firefighters will do everything to extinguish the fire as quickly as possible.

Volunteers Needed

Conmee Emergency Services is always accepting applications for the positions of Firefighter or Emergency First Responder.

The primary responsibility of the positions include structural and wildland fire fighting, auto extrication, emergency response, and assisting with prevention and public education initiatives.

All training and equipment is provided. An honorarium based on attendance at scenes, training and outside courses is provided. The Ontario Fire Curriculum is the standard for training. Ontario Fire College Courses are offered. There is the opportunity for you to receive your D-Z Driver's License.

Applicants must meet the following minimum criteria:

  • minimum 17 years of age
  • good physical condition
  • ability to attend a minimum of 50% of calls and training
  • have the initiative to follow the chain of command
