MUNICIPAL ELECTION 2026
The next municipal election for the Township of Conmee will be held on Monday, October 26, 2026, in accordance with the Municipal Elections Act, 1996.
This page provides information related to the 2026 municipal election and will be updated as additional details become available throughout the election period.
Voters’ List Revisions (After August 12, 2026)
Beginning August 13, 2026, eligible electors may apply to:
- Add their name to the Voters’ List
- Correct information on the Voters’ List
- Remove a name from the Voters’ List
To request a revision, please contact the Township Office and be prepared to provide identification and proof of qualifying address.

Key Dates – 2026 Municipal Election
- May 1, 2026 – First day to file nominations
- August 21, 2026 (2:00 p.m.) – Nomination Day
- August 24, 2026 – Nomination certifications / acclamations
- October 24, 2026 - Advance Voting Day (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.)
- October 26, 2026 – Voting Day (10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.)
- October 27, 2026 – Declaration of results
- November 15, 2026 – New Council term begins
Municipal Election 2026 – Non-Resident Property Owners and Tenants
You do not have to live in the Township of Conmee to vote in the municipal election.
You are eligible to vote in the Township of Conmee municipal election if, on voting day, you:
- Are a Canadian citizen;
- Are at least 18 years of age;
- Own or rent property in the Township of Conmee, or are the spouse of an owner or tenant of property in the Township of Conmee; and
- Are not prohibited from voting under the Municipal Elections Act, 1996 or otherwise by law.
A person may be eligible to vote in more than one municipality if they own or rent property in multiple municipalities.
Unable to Vote in Person?
If you are an eligible elector but cannot vote in person, you may appoint another eligible elector to vote on your behalf using a Voting Proxy (Form 3). The person appointed as your proxy must also be eligible to vote in the Township of Conmee.
How the Voting Proxy Process Works
- Complete two copies of the Appointment for Voting Proxy (Form 3).
- Fill in your information and the information of the person you wish to appoint as your proxy.
- Sign and date both copies of the form.
- Give both completed copies to the person you have appointed.
- The person appointed must bring the forms to the Township Clerk (or designate) to have the appointment certified.
- The appointed person must sign the required declaration in the presence of the Clerk or designate.
- Once certified, the proxy may vote on your behalf.
Please note that a person may act as a proxy for more than one family member (parent, grandparent, child, grandchild, sibling, or spouse), but may only act as proxy for one person who is not a family member.
